American Red Cross Lifeguard Training

General Information
  • Participants must be 15 years old by the end date of the class.
  • Upon successful completion of the course participants will be certified in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and Automated External Defibrillator.
  • The pre-course screening (which must be passed in order to take the class) consists of a non-stop 300 yard swim Also swim 20 yards dive down 7-10 feet of water retrieve a 10 pound brick and swim back to the starting point within 1 minute and 40 seconds without the use of goggles and tread water for 2 minutes without the use of your hands.
  • Please remember in order to obtain the Lifeguard certification you must attend ALL classes; successfully pass the written exams and practical test
  • Due to instructor ratio's there are a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 10 participants in order to run these classes.
