"Train for the 5K" Training Class
ADDITIONAL TRAINING DATES ADDED!
With two 5K road races coming up this summer in Westbrook, the Westbrook Community Center is excited to announce that they'll be offering a training class to help runners properly prepare!
Our "Train for the 5K” Training Class with instructor Katelyn Call is designed to help runners prepare and train for the upcoming 5K road races in Westbrook, or any 5Ks they may be entering this summer!
It's 5K training to fit your schedule – weeknights, weekday mornings, and/or Saturdays...whichever works best for you! Just attend when you can.
All training sessions will be held at the Westbrook High School Track, located at 125 Stroudwater Street. Participants should wear proper running sneakers and comfortable running attire. They should also bring a water bottle clearly marked with their name.
The class is open to residents of Westbrook and all surrounding communities. All skill levels, from beginner to advanced, are welcomed.
The per-class drop-in fee is just $5, or you can buy a multi-session discounted punch pass from the instructor that can be used for this and any of our current fitness programs (except Zumba). And, if you already have a punch pass, it can be used for this program, too. Entry fees for the two 5K Road Races are additional.
