Tennis - Adult Summer Programs
The Westbrook Community Center is excited to be hosting three different adult tennis programs this summer. All sessions will be held at the Westbrook High School Tennis Courts, located at 125 Stroudwater Street, and instructed by tennis pro Dave Cousins.
Adult Mixed Doubles
Wednesdays – June 27, July 11, 18, 25, August 1, 8 (Six Weeks)
6-7:30 pm
Sessions will include mostly mixed match play, with instruction, as needed.
Cost: $45 (resident & non-resident)
A minimum of eight (8) participants needed to run this program.

Adult Tennis Cardio
Thursdays – June 28, July 5, 12, 19, 26, August 2 (Six Weeks)
5:30-6:30 pm
Sessions will include drills and games that are designed to get your heart rate up; lots of swings!
Cost: $45 (resident & non-resident)
A minimum of four (4) participants needed to run this program.

Adult Beginner Tennis
Thursdays – June 28, July 5, 12, 19, 26, August 2 (Six Weeks)
6:30-7:30 pm
Sessions will include basic tennis instruction for newcomers or less-advanced players.
Cost: $45 (resident & non-resident)
A minimum of eight (8) participants needed to run this program.

Tennis pro Dave Cousins just recently joined the Westbrook Community Center fitness team. He’ll also continue to work as a teaching professional at the Racket and Fitness Center in Portland, where he’s taught since 2005. He served previously as Tennis Director for South Portland from 1995 to 2011 (juniors and adults), Gorham from 1989-99 (juniors), Windham from 1992-95 (juniors and adults) and Buxton in 1994 (adults). Cousins, a 1993 graduate of the University of Southern Maine, is also a Certified Professional with the Professional Tennis Registry.
