Homeownership Education Course-Adult Ed

The purpose of the Homeownership Education Course is to help people prepare for and be well informed about the process of buying a home. Seminar topics include: evaluating your credit; what price home you can afford; budgeting and money management; selecting and working with a real estate agent; home inspections; types of available mortgages, including Maine Housing, VA, Rural Development; as well as the closing process and post-closing considerations.

Participants must complete both sessions of one monthly seminar to receive a Certificate of Completion. The non-refundable cost of the two-session seminar is $30/person or $50/couple.

When: Saturdays
* Monthly Seminar I - April 6 & 13
* Monthly Seminar II - June 8 & 15
* Monthly Seminar III - July 13 & 20
* Monthly Seminar IV - August 17 & 24
Time: 9am-2:30pm
Where: Westbrook Community Center
Fee: $30/person or $50/couple

Participants need to pre-register with CEI. To do so, please visit www.ceimaine.org and check under classes and workshops, or call 882-5177. Regstration is not being handled through the Westbrook Community Center.
