Intro to Improvisation

Improvisation - (n) something made, invented, or arranged with what is conveniently on hand.

Ever find yourself laughing at an improv comedy show like 'Whose Line Is It, Anyway?' and say something like, "That looks like so much fun! How do they do it?" Well in this Intro to Improvisation class, you can find out! Improv is a fun, creative and energetic performance art that uses some simple guidelines to bring original characters and situations to life. Sometimes referred to as 'the art of play', improv is a great way to use your imagination, meet new people, gain confidence, improve listening skills and most importantly, laugh at life! The only requirement for this class is a willingness to play and have fun!

Taught by Keith Anctil, Tara McDonough, and Jen Whitley, members of The Improvised Puppet Project, Westbrook's only professional improv group!
