Improvisation: The Art of Play
Do you have a creative, energetic 5th-9th grader? Are they looking to explore their creative side? Well, improvisation may just be the perfect thing! Improv is a fun, creative and energetic performance art that uses some simple guidelines to bring original characters and situations to life. It is a great skill for students interested in the performing arts! Sometimes referred to as 'the art of play', improv is a great way to use your imagination, meet new people, gain focus and confidence, improve listening skills and most importantly, to have fun! The only requirement for this class is a willingness to play and laugh!
Taught by Keith Anctil, Tara McDonough, and Jen Whitley, members of The Improvised Puppet Project, Westbrook's only professional improv group!
