In the 1880's, a band known as The Salaberry Band was formed which became the Westbrook City Band in the year 1884.ook City Band –In the 1880's, a band known as The Salaberry Band was formed, which, in 1884, became known as the Westbrook City Band . Their repertoire ranges from the classics and light classics to overtures, Broadway show tunes, marches, solo works with band accompaniment, and Dixieland jazz selections. The Veayo Twins, just 19, along with Carter Isaac, are well on their way as one of the rising stars on New England's jam-packed musical landscape. Fans can expect a set that emphasizes their catchy original melodies and excellent vocal harmonies, as well as uniquely-arranged versions of cover songs from “Top 40”-style artists like One Republic, Christina Aguilera, Imagine Dragons, Lady Gaga, Karmin, Monsters of Men, and Taylor Swift, or oldies like Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and more!July 15 - David Good
David Good is a native Maine singer-songwriter whose talent and passion for making music has been pleasing audiences for more than three decades. Influenced at an early age by artists like Neil Young, Dan Fogelberg, and James Taylor, it wasn’t long before his ability to play acoustic guitar and carry a tune blossomed and he was performing throughout Maine and New England. With over twenty years in the business and hundreds of exciting and memorable performances, The Waiters’ versatility ranges from jazz trio to full-on dance party band. Sister Steel is a Portland-based steel band whose goal is to bring Calypso, Soca, and other music from the Caribbean to Portland and its surrounding communities. They recently performed at the 2015 New England Steel Band Festival in Blue Hill, ME.August 19 - Spectrum
Local band Spectrum were recent finalists at the 2015 Maine Academy of Modern Music (MAMM) Slam, where bands were judged on a variety of factors that face real-world musicians, such as songwriting, performance, web presence, and marketing. Influenced by a range of artists, such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, ZZ Top, Adele, John Legend, and Ed Sheeran, this group – whose ages range from 14-17, has hit the ground running and is making quite a name for itself on the Portland music scene!*Schedule subject to change.
